Wood has its own specific place in the field of (outer) packaging materials. This is mainly due to its better shelf life for apples, pears and vegetables, for example. Wood allows the products to breathe, allowing moisture to be naturally absorbed and also released.
Verhoeven Family Business
Kist & Co was founded in the 1950s. Our company, Verhoeven Emballage, producer of durable wooden pallets, is also located at the same location. We also work closely with our sister company Zagerij Verhoeven (Sawmill) in Harskamp. This assures us of high-quality raw materials under all market conditions. Harskamp Timber is also part of this group.

In addition to being a producer, we are closely involved in product development and process improvement for the end user in cooperation with our customers.
Automated production lines
Two automated production lines are set up for production with an annual capacity of more than 10 million crates.
BRCGS certified, unique in the Netherlands
To ensure our quality, safety and sustainability, we are certified according to various quality marks and guidelines. We are BRCGS certified, which is very important for the transport of food products. We also have drying chambers for heat treatment according to ISPM15.
